Tax allowance for Brits living abroad
I see that the tax personal tax allowance for Brits living abroad is under the spotlight, and the treasurer proposes to do away with it.
Expats face tax hike as Treasury plots to cut personal allowance | This is Money
This will hit the pocket of some who have their pension paid from the UK, KT

I was just looking at some of my old papers concerning my pay when i was on the G/Castle it stopped from 17-8-1942 then started again in 1-2-1943
I was deducted Nationai tax from16-7-1943 to October1945 a sum of31pounds also camp pocket money (a Joke).. 12pounds a year
But after some talking we got the camp money back but not the tax money .
But later on i got what they called post war credits about 75 pounds that would be in 1950 .But i did have a fair bit of money in the bank

Hi All
I never got a penny from the UK Govt, but had to pay 60 pounds tax before they would let me leave in 57. best mony I ever paid. Ask my wife, every time pensions are mentioned I say I never had a pension from the MN.
