John, you say you broke your nose in four places, bad luck mate suggest you do not visit any of them again.

Take care and a speedy recovery.

cappy don't even think about it, I worked with ladders for many years and would't dream of going up again now.

I need to go on my roof to point the ridge tiles, SHE said NO, You are too old.!
WHAT???? I am only 82 in a few weeks, I went up last year and she was screaming at me.

The way I look at it is , is when you are young that is the time to be scared, as you have a life ahead of you, if you fall and get killed that is a big loss of life,
But in your twilight years and you have had your life, then it does not matter as much.

About seven years ago I fell off my garage roof and head first down the concrete steps to my garden, I lay there for over an hour before I could get up, I still have a crack in my skull, I can feel it with my fingers. So SHE says if you fall from the top of the house you will not survive.

So I may have to get a tradesman, [ I have never ever had a good job done by a tradesman, I could always do better myself.
They cost money and do a lousy job.
    Brian
