Exclusive: 50 days in Hamas captivity - Thai man recalls beatings and bleakness
DON PILA, Thailand, Dec 7 (Reuters) - When Thai farm labourer Anucha Angkaew scrambled out of the bunker where he had been sheltering from rockets on Israel's border with the Gaza Strip around 7.30 am on Oct. 7, he expected to see Israeli soldiers.
Instead, Anucha and his five Thai colleagues were accosted by 10 armed militants, whom he identified as Hamas by the Palestine flags on their sleeves.
"We shouted 'Thailand, Thailand'," said Anucha, a soft-spoken 28-year-old with a wispy goatee. "But they didn't care."
Two of the six Thais were killed soon after, including a friend who Anucha said was shot dead in front of him in a random act of violence. The rest were forced on to a truck for a roughly 30 minute ride into Gaza.
Anucha's first person account offers a glimpse into what many hostages endured - and some continue to endure. He described sleeping on a sandy floor and beatings by Hamas captors, who he said singled out Israelis for especially brutal treatment.
Not surprised to hear this, but bottom line, anyone wondering why the IDF went straight back to utterly heavy bombing once the truce was over, well I guess the brutal reality is that there’s little hope those remaining hostages would have ever been released in the first place, if most of them aren’t already dead.

Re: Israel what is next???
Until Palestinians living in Gaza and around the world turn and decry Hamas then my sympathy lies only for those women whose mutilated bodies were found dead after the concert on October 7th, their families and of course the families killed in their Kabots including those kidnapped and yet to be released.
Two further reports [of many] below make for gruesome reading. Quite frankly any further protests against Israelis should be banned in the UK IMHO. Let them protest there!
Israeli accounts of sexual violence by Hamas rise but justice is remote | Reuters
And this from the BBC, must have damned near killed them to finally admit Hamas is a terrorist organisation

Re: Israel what is next???
While I recently didn’t get much time to follow this thread, I did notice a few comments which I feel are rather disturbing, just sharing my opinion, no intention to attack or insult anyone personally.
For example, on page 10 post #95 Gerard compared Gaza to the Warsaw Ghetto or that Israel is following the Nazi Lebensraum policy in the West Bank. Of course, there’s no doubt about how the Palestinian perception looks like regarding the settlement issue. Anyone with an IQ above zero understands it’s counterproductive in terms of finding common ground, let alone reaching a peaceful solution.
Even if you’re a thick as two short planks, it is obvious for anyone to see, that the more Israeli Settlements there are, and with each new settlement that’s built in the West Bank, the worse the Palestinian hate and frustration grows. What that means is probably something that Israel is more aware of than anyone else.
Do you think they’re stupid or that Israelis don’t understand that the victims who received or suffered Israeli violence will harbor hatred, like what we’re hearing now with the war in Gaza about “a tactical victory leading to a strategic defeat” and that destroying the current Hamaz generation only helps to build the next.
Of course they know!
But to call or compare Gaza with the Warsaw Ghetto or the West Bank with Nazi Lebensraum is just absurd to say the least. Otherwise, from Warsaw Ghetto A), to West Bank Nazi Lebensraum B), you’re welcome to tell me a bit more and maybe explain the Israeli version of Endloesung C), Herrenrasse D), Endsieg E), or the Thousand Year Reich. Let’s forget about the Hebrew Zionist edition of Mein Kampf.
Sorry, but for me, you’re welcome to shove it up there where the sun doesn’t shine.
Like it or not, from a strategic point of view, it makes more than sense to increase those settlements. Firstly, because they could be removed at any time, just as quick, if not faster than they were built!
But more importantly, any honest Palestinian would have to admit, that back then when the peace talks were taking place, everyone agreed that it needed so called “LAND SWAPS”. Anyone wondering why, has obviously gained their knowledge from CNN and Co. And why do I say so? Because anyone who’s been there knows that the reality on the ground looks a little bit different then how it might come across when looking at a flat map like you see on TV. Before you’ve been there and know what you see when you reach the top of the hill west of Ramallah, you better shut up. At the same time, I can tell you that if you were a citizen of Tel Aviv, you’d certainly agree it to be better if that hill on the horizon was occupied by settlers, rather than some rocket boys with green bandanas wrapped around their empty skulls! And yes, I’ve been there, anyone who hasn’t, f… off and shut up until you know stuff from firsthand!
Another one, the genocide thing. Up to you, but anyone speaking about the IDF committing genocide in Gaza is obviously excused for suffering an idiot moment experience.
The Nazis and Hamaz are those who did or in the case of Hamaz, are committing genocide. They did so when they killed over a thousand people on Oct-7.
Even if the IDF kills ten times more Palestinians with the bombing and current war in Gaza, the IDF can never be blamed of committing genocide. Because unlike the Hamaz, the IDF doesn’t intentionally kill civilians, not even one! That is simply unintentional collateral damage, as horrible it may sound and regardless how many get a fast-tracked ticket by the IDF to enjoy their eternal life next to Allah in paradise…
Side note: “God forgiving” but may I ask if Allah is Uh Akbar and everything is In Sha Allah, then what’s all the moaning and groaning about in the first place, surely the IDF is part of Allah’s will, no?
Not to forget how most of those innocent civilians always seem to have a bit of a bad habit of enjoying and celebrating such events like Oct-7. I’ll never forget watching the crowds, dancing and singing in streets of Gaza when the images of the collapsing World Trade Centers went around the world on 9/11.
Now they say Hamaz is an ideology, and I agree, and like the 5***** religion of peace it’s all about, they have to first be eradicated. Only once that insanity is over, can there be any thoughts about what comes next. And like the Hitler Judend, after the surviving Hamaz Jugend has been bombed back to stone age, it will take at least several decades until there will eventually be a generation which will able to embrace peace. But for the time being, stop singing “give peace a chance”, for once, be honest and give “war a chance too”!
Finally, keep one thing in mind, as an old Israeli saying goes: If Israels neighbors would decide to lay down their weapons now, there would be peace in the Middle East today. If Israel would decide to lay down their weapons today, there would be no Israel in the Middle East tomorrow.

Re: Israel what is next???
Well the islamists are well on the way to what they want - world domination. It was reported on tv yesterday that by the year 2050 a forecast group says that Britain will have a 17% ****** community. With the influence they seem to have at the present, that means that we will have ****** rule. The imams are practicing now with their hate speeches from the pulpit and on the internet because the police don't see that any law is being broken and they can't do anything. It looks like they are inserting the word infidel alongside Israeli. That means anyone who is not a ******. I believe if you're an infidel you have two choices. Convert or die. I've said it before, I do not believe ***** is a religion. It is an indoctrination cult bent on world domination. The trouble is, ut seems to be succeeding.

I see that Imran Khan is shooting his mouth off again. He's laying down excuses for the Met Police not doing the job of arresting extremists by saying they are underfunded. He should give them the money he's stealing off people with ULEZ.

hi geoff smith #298
good morning, Whilst i applaud the right of free speech and i do totally agree with your opinion on the dangers of the topic in your missive , it must be added that a all parliamentary group of mutons headed by labours wes streeting and a deranged anna soubry have found that being anti-mutton is racist, Now if you then add to that the actions of the police and authorities when dealing with those muttons you can understand exactly which way the labour party will deal with it if it comes to power with a stomping majority, will blasphemy see a return to the statute books and will we then see this as a way to crack down on our dissent to accept the muttons religion or laws.
