See how the Hun Hates! World War 1: British fisherman caught by the Germans
and accused of laying sea mines, have half one side of their face and head
shaved, and are paraded through town as a warning.

Being the cynic I am I think this is the old and trusted method of buck passing, let someone else deal with the problem. I could be wrong and will happily apologise if this is the case.

Re: Ship Survivors
Experience in writing to such entities has taught me a lot about how governments work, or at least tell the public they do.
Replies will always inform you that your correspondence has been forwarded to the appropriate department for consideration.
You may well in time receive a reply, one that if you read and decipher it will show that it tells you nothing they do not want you to know.
I often wonder how much the spin doctors they use are paid?

Happy daze John in Oz.
