Vernon are you accusing me of always resting the whole of my body. Your comment about the way I always sat.
That's the way the mop flops.

Very true Ted and the only thing I have ever wanted in life is to be able to have a penny in my pocket at the end of the week that I did not owe to any one else.
That's the way the mop flops.

    Thumbs up Please sir!!!!!!!!!!!

OH, yes i came through my 2 hours with them young boy:s and girl:s with flying colours,i could write a book here but wont. they where one step ahead of me little devils had brought in pictures of ships? discharge books?one young lad was accompanied by his mother had his grandfather:s book{ name conlin R257778} first trip RIENA D EL PACIFICO 1942.donkeyman greaser.played it the way frank suggested, showed them some footage of a bye gone era, couldnt believe how quite these 11 to 14 yr old kids were.gave a little talk in between break:s pausing the footage and asked for any questions they had.those kids were so cute and observative????????. why was a ship launched with a bottle of wine, my reply , well think of when a baby is christened and the adults get together and wet the baby:s head they may celebrate with a few drinks. its the same with a ship look at it as the birth of a new ship.why was a ship called a she and not a he{OMG} well look at it as a lady wanting to look her best all the time with make up and gloss? a ship as was mentioned in the footage had a sister ship not a brother, and was always surrounded by men to keep her looking her best.i had my titanic model for the kids to view and ask questons, after much deliberation, i asked them who could show me three football teams on that ship?of course they spotted liverpool port of registration,i told them the other two hull/ and crew.that went on for over an hour then more important to me as all these kids lived around my area i wanted to raise awarness of how much of an influence the docks and ships of the mersey was all around them, william gladston? there is a gladston dock? gladston road? gladstone house, all very close to the school, all of the children new where it was but new very little of the four times prime minister himself.and that he was born on merseyside.and was educated in st thomas school here in seaforth@ lived in seaforth house a stones throw from the school.i should say at this point the teacher was very good and joined in with dates and other input.i named a few pubs that the kids new of in the area, one being the Doric. which was owned by the same shipping company as the titanic, white star line.the owner of white star line lived in waterloo which is the next district going north on merseyside, and still stands today it is known as beech lawn nursing home, formerly ismay:s home, without him there woudnt have been a titanic.i was asked many things to much to post here it was very rewarding experience.and looking around that gathering of children i could see young budding souls that i am sure would if given the chance would have lived the sea, just as a lot of there father:s and grandfather:s did.just a great pity they will never get the same chance that we did.i asked them when they got home to ask there grandfather:s and grandmother:s, did they have any friends or relatives that went away to sea.of course i no what there reply will be.i shall leave it on one amusing point . when i told the kids that ismay lived in waterloo and that his house was still there, one young girl raised her hand and asked sir!!!!!!!!!! did jack and rose live there also frowning!!!! looking at the teacher, he stepped in and explained they where only actors in camerons film titanicLOL regards all terry.
