    Reams of paper regulations to fulfil in Torbay before permission granted to use the lifeboat for such purposes. Better to get the Torquay - Brixham ferry and slip him over the side, he will be just as happy and probably appreciate the gesture.

    Local tug boat man told me that you cannot get permission from port authorities to scatter ashes on the bay here in Melbourne. He then went on to tell me that just about every day any yacht could be seen dropping the ashes of an old yachtie into the bay. No one says a word when they do.
