Yes Terry on certain aspects, you go on and on and on about those around you. We are all born with the same chance Terry you make your own way in this life. For some it's a greater struggle than for others, always has been.

Terry , why is it OK for LABOUR to use Nursing Agencies during the Labour Years but not any other Political party?????

I do not condone Nursing Agencies but they are a necessary evil.

School Teachers have been operating a similar system for many many years, even when I married a teacher 52 years ago. They were called `Supply Teachers` who were just employed if a teacher was off ill. They also got a Bigger daily rate of pay than regular teachers.

I own my own house, I didn't buy it from the Council, nor did I inherit it, I worked hard for it, nor did I have a silver spoon in my mouth, in fact the Germans ensured that on least three occasions we had neither spoons or furniture or anywhere to live, but my family worked hard to provide for us to enable us to survive and I think the operative words for the so called ills of today are 'worked hard' which seems to be missing from the dictionary and is foreign to many.

Going out now, to enjoy my ill gotten gains of 60 working years, I will read the exocets when I return, as no doubt many will be winging my way
I think you might be safe emerging from your Anderson shelter Ivan. No reports of collateral damage to the County of Devon. All Exocet missiles seem to have been neutralised.

No Marian, We live poles apart we don't all get the same chances, That's my point, Not every City in the U.K. Was considered for Military Rule or cut off from the rest of the country by Thatcher's government, Liverpool was, We are the best known sea port in the world Liverpool, We started the wealth for the chosen few landing slaves from aboard slave ships Liverpool, The North Atlantic convoys where moved from Bristol to the more strategic port of Liverpool, You have to live here to know the people of Liverpool, And the way we reach out and help each other in Liverpool, The city's history, culture, and music is number one the world over that's Liverpool, And without going on and on and on, I would rather see this hand out spent creating real jobs with real pay, On the Clyde, Merseyside, Tyne @Wear, London, Other than here, Regards from Liverpool.

yes ted thats all very creditable .....but no one can live on what happened in the past ......yes it gives us some comfort ......but what makes you think liverpool is any different to any other place .......as for the real jobs and real pay .......go and start a business ......nothing personal terry but unless some ....as you put it penny pinching bloke goes and borrows and employs others there wont be any jobs for any body dont forget its the businesses and tax payers who pay the benefits for the less well off members of society.....but it appears you have no time for these folk ....as marion stated i to feel there is a big panic among a lot of benefit seekers ...not all ...that the goose that lays the golden eggs is slowly getting constipated........the people have seen through the ridiculous rubbish so called labour spewed out and have made there choice for the better or worse... the people of liverpool and the rest of us will live by it....no hard feelings terry but labour is kaput...regards cappy watch out for hatton though lol cappy
