Re: Coast
Hi John
It all started with that wonderful socialist Harold Wilson,
He signed us up to the Lima Agreement in 1967 and then started to close down all our Industries and transferr them all overseas to 3rd world countries
Cheers
Brian.

Re: Coast
#12 Ten times worse unless you get out of Europe and start re-building the uk to something closer to what it used to be. Start opening up Industries that were closed because supposedly they were unprofitable, if necessary Nationalize them if that is the only way out. But dont become a satellite of Europe. Retain your own sovereignity and government, the world still needs Britain beleive it or not, but not as the lap dog of a German and French run Europe, which I doubt if the French will stay the course which just leaves the one power running the show. What benefits so far have the general populance got from Europe except those with plenty of Dosh who Europe was always a second home to them. They are not the real Brits. The real people are the ones who always have to take on the burden of some expert in international affairs, we are often told, and they are doing it for us, let them go and live in Europe and leave the British Isles to go the way it plans for itsef, by itself and for itself. Cheers John S

Re: Coast
john the eu is a house of cards I think that's why a vote has been put on the back burner for years? people in the more well off countries are starting to see the light and want out? other political parties have not give out much information about what the cost is to be a member of this club and the freedom jobs and money its costing now that the ukip party has let the people know the reality of the eu is the other parties are running scared ? we have maxed out our credit in the world and its up to the workers/taxpayers to have a better say in what goes on with their money I can see big changes on the horizon for us.jp

Re: Coast
Visionaries... There has been plenty of Visionairies over the past 50 years or so, the problem is they all have the wrong visions. Maybe spec savers may find plenty of business there as most need glasses to see what is happening due to their and previous governments bad management, this is all it is they are there for a fixed term and it is hard to beleive so much damage can be done to a country and its citizens in so short a time. There could not be any worse done by electing someone with totally different ideas and approaches to the near disasterous situations that have arisen in years past. I would vote for anyone outside of the 2.5 main parties you now have. JS

Re: Coast
Nigel Farage (UKIP Leader) was a panel guest on Have I Got News For You last night.
Having watched it I cannot make my mind up about him. I agree with UKIP's policy on Europe but after that what has he got to offer?
I admire him for going on a panel show knowing that he was going to be the butt of many jokes but having said that he did come across as a bit of a laughing buffoon. He also has some dodgy background with expenses from the E.U. regarding a couple of million quid which some say went on a mistress who was employed as a secretary, so is he all that different from the present load of numpties?
I hope he is and he can come out with a proper manifest that goes further than just getting out of Europe and address's Defence, Employment, Immigration etc.

As a failed conservative , i suppose the only way he could get promotion was start his own party , I wish someone would start the " I am honest and won't rip you off party 2" but I dont expect they could get the MPs to stand for it
