I love most sports but what gets me is why in soccer if the player who scores a goal runs around the Looks up into the sky and crosses his self it the same in rugby I bet God did not have a pair of footy boots .Some of the antics they do now is beyond me could imagine Stanley Mathews or Colin Meads behaving like that

All in the name of Showmanship Lou. Never bother watching some of the artificial and wriggling on the ground trying to gain a penalty. Is not the sportsmanship or pride there as once was. I suppose business and money. Would rather watch an amateur schoolboy game where there is people playing the game for enjoyment as well. Cheers John S

Today they run around with all his team mates running after him, he dives on his knees and skids for a few yards and then they all jump on him, and kiss him, then they all spit on the pitch.
What has he done???? he has only done what he is paid to do, score a goal.

When I used to watch Nat Lofthouse and Stanley Mathews and Co. all they did was shake his hand like gentlemen.

These are the scenes that the children of today are being brought up with Brian. A trick cyclist will tell you it is freedom of expression, no wonder some of our youngsters of today turn out as they do. Cricket is another one. As a kid I used to consider it a boring Gentlemans game. I dont know what I would call it now. Again Freedom of expression. When the Russians go into the Ukraine, I wonder if the trick cyclists have a word for that, not freedom of expression, that will be the loss of freedom according to them. As regards the Ukraine the general public seem to have lost sight of the fact that the first and legal government was deposed by the so called will of the people, which was applauded by the west, when roles are reversed, there has to be a bad guy, which is never the west. Anyhow sport they are advocating out here now that there should be no winners and losers in kids games, how mad can you get. These people who want to change people I suppose they make a good living out of it by changing the goal posts all the time. JS

watch the rugby its proper competition of skill guts and team spirit ......and they dont all run round kissing each other........many years ago i was at a party at the house of paul reaney leeds and england soccer player .....the striker at the time ...i shall not name was sitting on the floor as iwalked past with a pint in each hand he stuck out his foot and of course i spilled the beer on pauls carpet .......he said sorry with a smirk on his face......paul said dont worry .....i got a cloth and cleaned up the mess ......i had a feeling that he had done it on purpose.....i went and got to more pints and walked past him again ...isaw his foot starting toslide out ...ithen put the 2 pints over his head ......nobody did this sort of thing to these so called soccer heroes ....the shock on his arrogant face was a picture to see ...the bloke was lost for words.......i just smiled and whispered dont be a ....all your life he never said a word and the others at the party just laughed at the state he was in......justice had been done sadly 4 pints had gone adrift

Keith, in Hindi Tindal is a bosuns mate. Indian crew ships was the Serang (Bosun) Tindle (Bosuns mate) and Cassab (store keeper). Would never have got the Serangs job with a name like Tindle. Cheers John S.

Lou, If I was on £300,000 a week I would be doing these stunts every waking moment, Not boiling 2 eggs and my round of toast Terry.
