Re: Brenda Shackleton
Hi Brenda I had a pm from Lou the day after he met up with you he told me it was a pleasure to meet you and your husband and that you are MN right through. It's good to see Lou with the signed ensign from the Liverpool meet up which he thoroughly enjoyed and all hands were pleased to meet him of course.Maybe the next meet up you can pop in and meet some more of the lads off the site,I'm sure you could tell them a few yarns about your dads time on the convoys etc.Incidently when your dad worked in his position for the MDHB did you live in the company houses on the dock estate atall.?I enjoyed the pictures with Lou also.
Regards.

Re: Brenda Shackleton
Thank you for your kind words, Jim. I hope to be at the Liverpool Meet-up if at all possible.
No, we didn't live on the Dock, as the Dock Masters' Houses had been damaged during the Blitz. They were not habitable until some years after the War.
regards
Brenda

Re: Brenda Shackleton
Hi Brenda the intended date is the end of May and I believe that there is quite a bit going on on the river just then so if you are there to see any of that it would be handy to pop in and meet the boys.Heres hoping that you can.
Regards.
