Grandkids
I don't have any grandchildren yet and I don't see my kids doing anything in that direction for some time despite them being over 28. Still it gives me chance to go travelling. I might be living in Wales soon so watch this space!
You and I ought to get together and write a novel! LOL
I hope to do that some day, but in the meantime I have to concentrate on getting my first two novels accepted by a publisher first. Marketing starts next year.
I am a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association and what a great lot they are too. I absolutely love writing - perhaps you can tell!
Well have a great time, lucky you it will be very hot eh? I was in Oz four years ago, it was fantastic. Brought back loads of memories of my time in Sydney in the 1970's.
Back in July so catch up with you then.

Well Lin, we've got 5 kids but only 4 grandkids and no hopes of any more so we didn't do too well at propagating the line.
I'll look forward to seeing you on your return. I work online so will look in here from time to time and if I think of any other interesting tales I'll write them up.
Have a wonderful time away.
Cheers,
Glennys

Hi Jean,
I'm so sorry you won't join us. It will get pretty boring around here if only me and Lin are posting (not that Lin doesn't have some fascinating stories to tell).
We don't have to confine our talk to times at sea or anything else. This is our thread and we can talk about anything we like. I hope you'll reconsider and come and talk to us about your life or anything else at all. I'm interested in everything and everybody and I'd love to learn more about you.
Best wishes,
Glennys

I'll second that - There will be more wives eventually, it just takes time. I would like this thread to be chatty, informative and generally as girly as we want it to be. Anyone who has either travelled around the world or sat at home knitting has a story to tell. I would you encourage you to write something. Life is fascinating.
I think it would be great if we can get more people to write their stories. Anything will do. Life is there to be written about. I try not to waste it. Writing is about history and leaving a legacy. My mother died recently and she left me a whole book on her life - things I would never have known or have forgotten about. Fascinating stuff.
So there you go.

Hi Lin and all,
Just back from a family reunion in Cairns and I now need a holiday to recover from my holiday. I don't know why my kids seem to think that being on holiday entails doing something every moment of every day. Haven't they heard of resting and just enjoying doing nothing?
I hope you had a great time, Lin. We really enjoyed ourselves, despite the rushing about. Nothing like spending time with the grandkids. I wish we could have skipped the kids part and gone straight to grandchildren.

Great to be back
Hi Glennys]
I wondered where you had gone! Welcome back. I am off again soon to the UK in the caravan for a second holiday. I am coming to Wales as well as Devon.
In the meantime I hope you will catch up on my blog itslinhere.wordpress.com
You will see some of my photos and read what I have been up to especially hubby who found a very rare species of butterfly on the islands and is now in the records.
Chat soon eh - all that washing and ironing! Back soon with a new forum for writers - making plans now.
Lin x
