New member from London
Hello folks, just wanted to intruduce myself and say hi. Long time since been at sea, came ashore for the last time in 1982 with much regret after 20 years, but had a young family coming along so it was the right decision for us all. Any way i reckon I'm getting to the age now (63) where I like wander back down memory lane a little bit so I reckon I'm in the right place with this great site.
I did general cargo ships mostly from London pool, Ben Line, Shaw Saville, Buries Marks (Gearbulk) and a few other odd ships and trips. I'm still in touch with a couple of old shipmates including my best pal Billie Burt whose wife swings out the life boat when I go visiting
.
Any way nice to be aboard
