    Default Salutations from Graham Lloyd

Salutations to you all, I joined the Shipping federation in December 1966 and did my 3 weeks at the Liverpool training school while staying in the old Women's prison though I cannot remember the address.

Having booked in at the London pool on new years eve I signed on for a cruise on the P & O Oronsay which sailed on new years day 1967 from Tilbury.

I remember spending the night in Gravesend to celebrate the new year with 3 chaps from Mexborough in Yorkshire. Trevor, Granville and Mick all on the 4-8 watch in the boiler room whilst I was on the 12-4.

I only did one trip and soon realised it was not for married men and I was pretty well tied up with my now wife who has put up with me for 41 years.
