Hi, thanks for having me onboard
I spent two and half happy years in the Merchant Navy back in 1968-70, Sailed as a Junior Engineer on the MV Tamworth to Canada and Australia, then on the Tantallon Castle round the African Coast and back home to be married, been a land lubber ever since!

Thanks for joining
So you would have visited all those great Ports along both the East and West African Coasts, i just loved them when on the Round Africa Runs , much more interesting that the Mail Runs on the UCL , but even so all their Ships were good ,could not complain!
Cheers

Hi William and also welcome. Was the Tamworth one of Dalglieshes ?. It is an old name for one of their ships but was not there when I left in 1967 or maybe it was 1968. They only had the Pennyworth, The Ravensworth and the Warkworth, The Tamworth I believe being lost during the war. Cheers JS.
