Re: Evenin' all
Can anyone remember why the yanks invaded a little sleepy Island like Grenada. Think they even made a movie of it. Cant imagine any opposition to the invasion force landing on their beaches apart from a few pebbles thrown at them. Think Clint Eastwood played the leading role. We used to drop off a few bags of mail there every 6 weeks and managed to get ashore once when we stayed a few hours for the passengers convenience, it was a real Island in The Sun. JWS

Re: Evenin' all
Remember the movie.
No sure, but think they were after a drug lord.
Or was that Panama?
Clint was Gunny Sargent.

Re: Evenin' all
HI John.
Grenada invasion, The CIA thought they saw a man who looked like Joseph Stalin walking along the beach in a swimming costume; and thought he had something hidden there
