Durham Trader
Hi
I am trying to piece together some information about somebody's father
I have found some records at Kew that he served on (amongst other boats) Durham Trader. Does anyone know of anyone who served on this boat in 1949/50 ?
On his CRS10 form there is a note that says "M/W Mr Scanlon ref Personal Caller Book Net Police" "Mr Scanlon was informed 29/3/50" "CRS issued 10/1/51 at his own request".
He went to the Seamans mission in London on discharge. I know he was in jail in 1953 serving a 10 year sentence and I assume this was connected. Anybody any ideas how I an trace any more about this ?
Thank you

Re: Durham Trader
Thank you. I have his "seamans Pouch" which at least confirmed I am looking at the right person as addresses next of kin etc tallies. He gave his new address as Seamans Mission Jeremiah Street London. I have tried emailing them but have had no response. Anywhere where I might be able to see their records ?
Yes the BMD records is the correct one although DoB varies by a year to other records but is the same day
