My name is Roman, I'm an Italian student currently living in London. I’ve always had a deep interest in the history of the British Merchant Navy — an interest that’s personal as well as historical.
My grandfather was rescued at sea by a Merchant Navy ship during the Second World War, and that story has stayed in my family for generations. It's one of the main reasons I started reading more about the vital role the Merchant Navy played, not just in wartime, but in shaping maritime history in general.
I’m really looking forward to learning more, hearing your stories, and being part of this community.
Warm regards
