[QUOTE=David Neilson;18813]Hi are any members of this group have served on Booth Line ships going up the Amazon to Iquitos Peru would like to hear from you. I traveled up the Amazon on the Velos my father David Neilson was Booth engneer based in Iquitos 1957 1960
David Neilson jr[/QUOTE
Hi David. I hope you're the Dave Neilson (from Errol) I met in Liverpool standing by on one of Lamport's D boats away back in the 1960's and you were a friend of Cathy Anderson through whom I met my wife Wendy. If so would you contact me at bob_hay@yahoo.com
the thing that puzzles me here is that although I'd been in Iquitos many times on the Viajero and Valiente I was unaware that Booth's had a Superintendent there.
All our repair work carried out there was supervised by a big German.
cheers
Bob Hay now in Perth Western Australia.
