Merchant navy training school Gravesend
Hi my name is Bill Marriner I went to sea training school at Gravesend in 1968 and then spent the next few years travelling the world and getting paid(badly I might add) four quid a week less bond and paye and union dues. That didn't leave much but it added up over time so I seemed rich when I got leave. It is surprising how many friends you had when your pockets jingled. Anyway my reason for finding my way to this forum is that I want to leave a record before my allotted time is done.
So When I find out where to leave my story I will hopefully get the job done.

Re: Merchant navy training school Gravesend
Thanks for the encouragement , yes my name came into play many times, I thought about it but guess what no one ever forgot my name so I kept it. Now there are a few cadets in my family with the same handle.
I hope to put together a few yarns some funny and some not so. I return to Cyprus on Monday where what little
Personal stuff is kept, I will see what I have stowed away in the Bosun's Locker.
