I was on the Emp of England in 1961, NOT my favourite ship except for a 17 day trip.

I was on the Urshalim in 1970, April to June, as D.H.U., after transfering from engine dept. to deck, so I remember her particularly well. Signed on Rotterdam, sailed to Curacao and paid off in Dublin. Another reason I remember her is that when approaching Curacao I was told to put the Dutch courtesy flag up on the foremast. When I got back to the bridge the captain told me to toddle off back to the forecastle and put it up the right way round! Anyway, Harvey, welcome to this great site. Regards, Tony Geeves.
