Good evening all.
Thanks for letting me join your merry band.
I am an ex soldier researching my grandfather and great grandfather whom I believe were both MN sailors. They were both called William and the younger, born in 1885 went on to become Captain and receive the OBE. I understand that they both hailed from Belfast.
I apologise that my naval knowledge is pretty limited, although I did spend 2 years on the Belfast Pilot Boat.
