    Thumbs up Welcome

Welcome to the site Peter. It is always sad to hear of the passing of one of our merchant navy colleagues even if we never knew or sailed with them. I hope that you will enjoy the content here which you will soon find is as varied as the membership.

    welcome to the site Peter.

    Sorry to hear about Sonny.
I really had respect for sonny and he was quartermaster on two trips with Me.
I will never forget the time and care he spent nursing that wee kitten with two broken legs. That cat had a great life with Sonny.
He was big , but a gentle man.

Sorry to hear about Sonny. He was the Bosun on my second trip to sea. A big man and true Gentleman, especially compared to the a******e from my first trip. Sonny taught me a lot in the few months we sailed together.
