    Default Again i cannot understand!

    Lars
I really dont know what you are saying,i am sorry but i cannot understand your lingo!
Sounds like you are talking about Free Country or something!?
As i said in the other post,if we cannot understand what you are on about then how can you expect us to reply.
I am also very sure that you can type much better English than you have been doing!
This is not to get at you at all,its just that it can be very annoying and frustrationg to all on this site!
So once again Lars i ask you to please post writings that we can all understand!
If you cannot do this then please refrain from posting!
It is regretable i know ,and i am sorry if this is taken the incorrect way.
    Thank you

Oh! dear.....it does look as if Gulliver's interpretive skills will soon be put to the test if our shipmate, Lars, keeps up with his enigmatic posts.

Rather than disrupt this perfectly good thread any further, as one who has been guilty of digression may I make the following suggestion without malice but as an attempt at friendly humour.........The thought occurs that if Lars would be kind enough to post in the 'Quiz Section' we could all play 'Guess the Message' and Frank could get his thread back.......just a thought, that's all, just a thought.

    ...........................regards, Roger.

    Default cAIRNS NOBLE & cO

    hI STEWART,
i SERVED MY TIME WITH CAIRN LINE JAN 49 TO24th Nov1952. SAILED ON CAIRNAVON
THE WHOLE TIME.. George Henderson Percy was Chief Officer and I was Promoted 3/0 on his first voyage as master/ Capt Lobban was 2/o during some of this time. Chief Steward was Billy Smith and Chief cook was Herbie Mouat with the Green brothers as 2nd & asst Cooks. As you remarked it was tough run
but Canada and the occasional run to the states was really an experience after the war.

Gave me a good start in the industry and I enjoyed my time at sea. I would say it was nice to discover the Mediterranean and pacific ocean after 4 yrs on the Atlantic. Good to hear of the old
company. I see it became part of Manchester Liners. Happy days .
