    so glad you are ok,i have been hovering in the background a lot recently,
    even though i have been doing a lot of moderating.

    Vernon,
    You should live at the real "Blackheath" in S.E . London, it would't happen there Apart from Oct '87 or '88

    hi vernon sorry to hear of your storm damage but it is good to hear that both you and your wife are ok wei in nz are suppose to get snow and gale force winds tonight so its batten down the hatches and get out the candles i think we have a couple of cans of baked beans take care regards lou barron

    Blackheath, would not happen here, 87/88 just the tip of the iceberg. What about poor old Watt Tyler, he was stabbed to death there.
    Then 87/88 when sevenOaks became six oaks.

    As you say mate,better batten down all them hatches if you are gpoing to have such Weather hitting you soon!
    Hope that the Winds are not as fierce as those we experienced here,but still any strong winds are not good!
