Hi Guys!!!
Well after all these years and searching for a lost pension i came across this site - Houlders - my god what times they were.
Tell you what i remember until i find my discharge book:
Left Gravesent training school in 75/76 as a catering boy - travelled into London when issued with discharge book and went to an address in Leadenhall Street - Yes Holder Brothers (3 of us went but cant remember names)
Given first ship - Humbolt (3 months) France - Riga as usual
Ships i remember without looking at discharge book - got to find it now?
Westbury
Ocean Transport
Hardwick Grange
Uncle John
Elstree Grange
Dunster Grange
Oregis (i think)
Oswestery Grange
Royston Grange rings a bell also
Finished off in 84 after 3 tours on Stena ships in the Falklands
Mainy stayed on the Brazilian Coast run for many years - reasons known to many
Going to find that book now - all the very best
