Re: Union Castle Staff Register Web Site
You mentioned earlier, or someone did, that you use the search function on the home page.
At the moment this function is not performing correctly and any search is ommitting new entries. I am working on rectifying this.

Re: Union Castle Staff Register Web Site
Hello Chris
This is just a question at this time Chris,so please don't think I am trying to change your Register!
I know that you are working on the site all the time and can assure you we who use it do appreciate it!
Now for the question!
I know that on the old site it as you state only caters for the periods before 1900,but am wondering if one could perhaps do a similar outlay that the old site has!
It sure would make it a lot easier to find Crew!
With the Alphabet Order in place!??
As said Chris just asking mate!
Thanks for all you do and have already done!
Cheers
So it perhaps can look like this when one Clicks on say "UCL"
This is what I remember it looking like, and it worked well!

As it stands right now all you have to do is select Union Castle (the house flag) then select U-C Staff and a drop down box appears with everyone in alphabetical order of surname...... I would have thought that was quite simple.
I think the old layout was very tired and dated and looked very untidy.
Just my opinion!
Kind regards and thanks for the appreciation

Re: Union Castle Staff Register Web Site
Hello Chris
Thank you for that but this is where the problem exists!
(Your Quote)As it stands right now all you have to do is select Union Castle (the house flag) then select U-C Staff and a drop down box appears with everyone in alphabetical order of surname(Unquote)
Now when I use that dropdown list ,yes names do appear in order but there are many that are not there ,mine being one of them!
I can get my details as I have said by Typing in my name on that Main Page, but I am not showing on that dropdown list!
Seems there is a hitch some where,as when I Type say Mills in that same Box that name then does not come up,but in reverse to mine it shows up on the dropdown list!
I hope you get what I am trying to explain to you!
On that Dropdown list I am positive that there are not near as many names that were on the old site when all the names appeared!
Thanks again and as said Chris,i am just trying to get this correct!???
Cheers

Re: Union Castle Staff Register Web Site
Vernon
You were listed under B&C staff as you joined after the merger in 1956. I have now moved you to U-C staff.
http://www.bandcstaffregister.co.uk/page1168.html
The list of U-C staff will be fewer than before as it only includes staff serving after 1900.
There is a link on the front page to the other site.
Regards
Chris
