Re: Old Timetable
Hi Vernon
The old tracks are still there but the only trains in Cooma now are static, there are train enthusiasts who have done up the Cooma station and have a few carriages sitting there . The Breadbo station is still and there are tracks still from Canberra but unusable. Really stupid as thousands come down by car and bus to the ski slopes when they could have come by train.
Thanks for that post I will keep it.
Cheers Des

Re: Old Timetable
Funny thing, ben here in Oz for 45 years.
Never been on a bus, only twice on a train and maybe a dozen trips on a tram.
Drive man drive where ever you go.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Old Timetable
Hi John in Oz, Similar to you, been here in Victoria for over 53 years and never been on a bus, tram or train. Only been on a plane a couple of times for work, driven anywhere else that I needed to go to, love driving but becoming limited in the distance that I can manage these days due to arthritis in the hands and shoulders. Anyway thankful to still be standing and enjoying this site with like minded people.

I rarely use the bus, but recently took a short trip of about 2 miles on one of those small local buses; it was clean and the seats comfortable and access was good, but the noise and vibration was terrible, and became worse everytime it stopped, I was pleased to get off.
