I also remember watching the cortege containing Diana, Princess of Wales's body leaving London on its journey to Althorp. The whole route was lined with people throwing flowers on the cortege as it passed them.

Here in Oz we sat through all of it glued to the Tv afraid we may miss something.
Sadly the media have learned little from that, just look at how they berated Kate in recent tines.
