The Lion the Witch and the wardrobe
My grand daughters were over staying with us just before Holloween. One of my real pleasures in life are my grand daughters.
They love a bed time story , but my wife is usually the storyteller.
Imagine my delight when my youngest grand daughter asked me to read her a story. She produced a book I had bought her eldder sister several years ago.
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis.
Every night for a week she would settle and cuddle up to me. We went through the book and she was totally enthralled.
I did not know a lot about CS Lewis so did a bit of research.
I was amazed to find his Grandfather was a founding partner in the engineering & shipbuilding company
Macilwaine & Lewis.
