Modern comedy is equally as good. My favourite has to be Still Game https://youtu.be/O5UwOkaQhN4 ,or anything by Peter Kay!!!Phoenix Nights,https://youtu.be/xogpOOKgJXI

Sorry James, seen som eof that and not impressed with it as genuine comedy.
Yes Les, take a good look at those who now find genuine comedy offensive.
Life such shallow lives combined with their style of political correctness one wonders do they wear a mask when going out, if indeed they do venture out, so no one will recognise them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Sorry James, Peter Kay is overrated in my opinion, Jason Manford beats him hands down.
For Still Game fans, some episodes are available on the BBC Scotland I Player.

Each to there own Vic , both those guys are up there with the likes of Billy Connolly.
One thing I do not like in modern comedy at times the language can get a bit OTT.
Yea I am no saint regarding language but but that Sarah Miillican while being funny at times would make a sailor blush.
We have mentioned him before but the late great Dave Allen seldom swore.

Manford is great Kay is like MacIntyre rushes about the stage as though erse was on fire.
Agree, old comics were far superior, no swearing just good old fashioned jokes.

Here in Melbourne we have the annual Comedy Festival.
No doubt some find it funny, but I have watched some, every second word is F*** and the supposed comedy is flat at best.
