Ivan, our lovely grass is often couch, takes the heat well,
But back in the 90's we had a ten year drought here in Victoria, like many others did away with the lawn.

But the dusty outback, nothing like it, just love it.
there is a charm and character you will not find anywhere else.

When back in UK on trips I find the green there very boring now, but in the dusty outback the beer tastes much better.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Your escapades when you were younger Cappy did as you say enable you to face life quicker than most . I admire the way you entered business and with the support of your wife Pat made a success of your life and prospered. Hope both of you are still the stalwart couple you have always been . Cheers JS

John it was a pleasure to meet you and gwen and have the pleasure of your company in our home .....we like most on here are of a different time .....our lives have changed but also ourselves ......but so much steered by what we have been and seen ....pat is well and still golfing two days per week winter and summer......but only 9 holes in the winter mainly .....our children have prospered and our grandchildren are all we would expect ....so we are blessed in many ways ....old age we cannot change ......but memories we have forever....and what memories we have .....hard times and times of great friendships ......one of my great accolades was hearing one of our factory workers stating he is a geordie count ....but another saying yes maybe.... but he is a fair geordie count....might put that on my gravestone......lol r683532 cappy

Well John, I fully understand, but jet lag affects people in different ways

Not the best place to see the green and pleasant land in London, you have to drink your beer very quickly out there as well John, before the flies have supped it all, lol

    Kieth.
Funny thing is haven't sen a bush fly for three years; I think the fires got rid of them down here then they probably got Covid which finished them off, can sit outside with a beer now without flapping the hand.

Ivan, no worries mate jet lag not a problem,
Drink enough, go to sleep wake up in Englands Green and Pleasant land.

Yes Des, we have had very few flies this year, but I have changed from Fosters to Tooheys extra dry, bit too dry for them maybe.

Don't be flapping those hands in public Des! or you may get offers you will definitely want to refuse!
