From media reports you have in Uk similar to us here in Oz.
Those who think there should be reparation made to the families of those who had previous family members who profited from slavery and other such things.
Then there are plans to remove names of such persons from street signs, take down statues and other such things.
But for what?
What happened often hundreds of years ago cannot be undone no matter how it is approached.
The opposite should be the case, put up signs to say who these people ere and what they did, some in fact did good for the nation as a whole.
Rhodesia is a good example.
Many in Zimbabwe as it now is want all reference to him removed, yet his grave and other items brings in millions from tourists and he did do good for the country.
So how far can we go back?
Well having considered it all I think it is time for UK to Sue Rome for all they took from the Brits way back in about 55BC, why not such is currently all the rage.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Sue rome
I think we should sue Africa, the Moors, Barbary Pirates etc for raiding the coasts of Devon, Cornwall, Ireland and Brittany and taking our citizens as slaves, more white people were abducted to Africa than black people leaving African shores, and it was African nations exporting their own people, not a foreign nation exporting their people, exporting by definition is the selling of goods produced in a nation.

Re: Sue rome
The UK should sue India,
That fella Ghandi caused thousands to lose their jobs in the Lancashire Mills.
Gandhi believed khadi could help India gain economic independence from British rule, a system which saw Manchester clothing imports all-but wipe out the Indian cotton industry. He exhorted Swadeshi (economic nationalism) and encouraged Indian citizens to spin, weave and wear khadi and burn their foreign imported clothes on public bonfires.

Re: Sue rome
During Anzac day someone poured a bucket of red paint over a statue of Governor Macquarie don't think it was an Aboriginal as they were all having their own memorial for the Aboriginals who fought in the two wars.Probably some red ringlet head from the Woke's
