Love to listen to bird song, here in UK, the blackbird in the evening in spring. When we were in NZ we rented a small bungalow, and to sit in the garden in the morning, cup of tea, and listen to the bellbird singing,

We have all kinds of lovely bird songs here, Blackbird the best. But yesterday there was a flock of Major Mitchel cocky's gathering to leave for the winter, about three hundred of them, they were on our power line, the road, one tree was bending over the weight of birds . We were worried more at them swinging on their beaks around our power line; waiting for them to cut through it. Thankfully they all flew away before disaster struck.

The Australian Magpie, considered to be the world's best singer.
To hear them first thing in the morning puts you in a good mood for the day.

The girl next door has a family of them for the last five years, they come into our laundry asking for a feed, best fed birds around.

We too have a family of them, been with us for about 8 years or so.
New chicks each year and they bring them around for a feed.
Get scraps from a butcher friend of mine to feed them all.
The mother will take food from my hand and often knocks at the screen door looking for food.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Starlings in the evening dusk (murmuration) are amazing to watch. We used to see it regularly but now not so often. One explanation is that it is possible due to the introduction of LED street lighting they find light polution unsettles them and they have moved on?

Birds that do annoy me are Pedgions **** all over the place in and around buildings. Ring neck Doves are also a pain especially when they are trying to mate. Tried to discourage a few 2 years ago as they were building a nest just outside my bedroom window. I tried shooing them away, even took down what they were building a nest with. Air rifle solved the problem.
