Re: So who is getting old then
They claim exercise can prolong your life, well it's taken a fortune over the years to get my body into the shape it is today without exercise, so I'm not going to ruin it now by taking up exercise.LOL

Re: So who is getting old then
My wife had a go at me today again. Lately I have been getting a bit forgetful. I sometimes forget to zip up after having had a pee. Talk about rolling eyes when I said I had not forgot to zip up I was advertising

Re: So who is getting old then
Well on the morrow I will find out if I am fit or not.
At 1100 hours I have to present myself to a local hospital, not a big one just a local country one.
There I will have this cricket ball removed from my scrotum.
It began life some 20 years ago as a very small cyst, no worries mate, they told me will do no harm'
Well the bugger grew up to the size of a cricket ball, a new scan showed all fluid.
Fine but in warm weather it swells up, so there I am a cricket ball and just one stump.
I have spoken with the surgeon who will perform the task, told him no slip ups.
One slip and I may become an instant Russian with the name of Iva Knackeroff.

Re: So who is getting old then
Who have you got to umpire the game? Dickie Bird was the best known one , tell hm no pulling stumps for any slight showers , here’s wishing you a Century before you take the pads off. Keep the old ball as a memento you can always rub it down the seam of your shorts like the professionals do, until I found out it was considered cheating . All the best . JS

Re: So who is getting old then
As far as I know a very nice Irish nurse will be assisting, spoke with her last week
She did the pre op bit asking all the questions.
Almost wet her pants when she asked if I had any allergies and I said not since the mother in law passed.

Hi John
Good luck mate, and wait untill after the op to chase the nurse taking the bit pan out, just in case she has the wrong bit in it

Re: So who is getting old then
So I clocked in at 1045 hours and of course all the paper work.
Then into the pre op room, strip off and get on the bed she said, you must be joking I thought, the wife is just outside.
Then she put the gown on me tied at the back, off to the op room.
1230 hours wake up all done.
Bit sore and then the nurses come out of the woodwork, but I was well looked after.
Was shown a sample of what came out, bit like watery custard, not my favorite.
So now I still have the stump but the cricket ball is well gone.
Her in doors said it was a case of LBW, but looking at it I have been well and truly black balled.
I will not be bowling any more maiden overs, nor bowling and more maidens over.

#18. You’ll just have to play in slips John and don’t mean petticoats like UCL , when you shout Owszat or whatever one does when catching the ball which you think slipped off the batsman’s bat , make sure you grabbed the right one , as you don’t have many left by the sounds of it. Cheers JS
