From the past
One member made reference to 'Bob a Job week' in one posting
Does that still exist, though more than likely a pound a job now.
On the radio, do the Archers still run on, what about Mrs Dales dairy is that still on.
Housewives choice, and family favorites?
Does the ice cream man still arrive with his van and the sound it made?
There are so many things from the past you forget about until some thing jogs your memory.
There must be thousands of such now long goine.

Re: From the past
There was a story about a guy in his late 70's having sex but died very suddenly.
His wife told the coroner they had sex every Sunday morning and he times it to the ringing of the church bell, nice and slow.
Then this morning the ice cream van came along ringing at twice the rate.

Re: From the past
#4 Also from my past , which was posted sometime ago ....
This is his Life...
From 20 to 30 —- if a man lives right
It”s once in the morning & twice at night
From 30 to 40——if he still lives right
He misses a morning & sometimes at night
From 40 to 50 —-it’s just now and then
From 50 to 60 — it’s God knows when
From 60 to 70 — if he”s still inclined ,-
But don’t let him kid you
It’s still in his Mind !
His sporting days are over
His little light is out
What used to be his sex appeal
Is now his waterspout,
It used to be embarrassing
To make the thing behave
For, nearly every morning
It stood and watched him shave
But now it’s getting older
It sure gives him the blues
To have it dangling down his legs
And watch him clean his shoes.

Re: From the past
Wasn't there a radio programme called Music While You Work? I think it was broadcast twice a day. Anyone remember?

Re: From the past
Workers Playtime was a programme which visited a different workers canteen each lunchtime and staged an entertainment show with songs and usually a comedy act.

Re: From the past
Think Walt Disney took it on and had the music added to the Snow White and the seven dwarfs , or the other way round and workers playtime took it from the cartoon film , think it was the kids who added the words to the music , hey Ho Hey ho it’s off to work we go , we work all day and work all night , etc. etc. finishing with the line and Dopey is a twerp or similar . JS .
PS think the last line was music while you work and dopey was a twerp . JS
