morning doc ...just wondrered if you have heard the song of the glencoe massacre by the campbells of the mcdonalds .....it is a sad piece of scots history and a bit of music i play from time to time with a wee dram while listening in solitary mood now and again ......ah those campbells....

#1 Cappy. The Scots Clans were nearly always at odds with one another and feuds were usually bloody affairs. What happened in Glencoe to make it memorable, the Campbells accepted the hospitality of the MacDonalds before committing the bloody deed going against all protocol of the time. I don't know if this will down load Valarie Dunbars version of the song my favourite.

morning bill ....that is a fine version by valerie dunbar ......a better soft voice,,,,on various visits over the years i havebeen around glencoe ....there is surely a sadness about the place ...or are we just a touch supersticious....thanks for the version i think its better than the cores and mcoormick.....regards cappy
