Re: I have come to the conclusion.
Lewis there is here in Oz an unwritten rule that any fence over 15 years has had it.
But in my case it was the fault of next door and the house at the rear of my property that were to blame.
They built on what had been an empty block for over 20 years,
When building they both had site cuts done, the one next door severely, and not done well.
The one on the side went down as far as 1 meter in parts and only 200 mm from the fence line.
To add insult to injury no retaining wall was put in.
How the council ever gave a certificate of occupancy is a mystery.
As a result of no retaining wall strong winds weakened the fence so part began to fall over.
This was part of the reason the insurance company paid.
But the one next door did not get any, their insurance refused to pay, wonder why?
They have since put in a retaining wall, bit late though.

Re: I have come to the conclusion.
No Victoria our super pensions were not effected.
But I know you had the option of taking 50% below the min draw down based on age, for the next 12 months.
So maybe your financial guy did that for you.
We had the option but did not take it, we are OK for super, are now about 5% above what we began with in 1998 drawing pensions since 2008.
In a good one.

I usually give them a sentence in Welsh thats usually enough to get rid of them. ( l've learnt one sentence to be able to do it!)

Hi Julian.
I don't shout in Welsh, but the language I use gets them off the phone.

Re: I have come to the conclusion.
Hi Victoria.
Pity you can't send him over here to my place, I have been battling a big hedge for months, and still have one out the front to do, he would have a field day. When we lived up the Blue Mountains we had a new fence put in, and then gave a procrastinating neighbor his half of the bill along with a note from the local magistrates court, never heard anything else.
