Why do you have to take another driving test ?
I thought you just filled out a medical deceleration every 3 years after the age of 70, then you are on your way rejoicing.

In N.S.W. after 80 you have to do a driving test every two years and a medical every year, it's to make sure we don't drive like the young idiots who are on the Roads these days.

Quite amazing Vernon ,same country different rules in each state.
Here in Vic after the age of 75 you can only get a five year one, no medical requires, got a ten year renewal two months after my 75th.
So much for the rules.
But as a volunteer driver for the Health center I have to have a medical every two years and a police check as well
