Personally I have no issue with the woman driver whatsoever she hasn't said a word I just don't like this so good celebrity Status that her passenger seems to be enjoying doesn't matter to me what race colour or gender anybody is I just don't like the celebrity Status we seem to make everybody important for the 10 minutes of life

Somebody somewhere is guilty of driving without lack of due care and attention I don't know who it is I've never seen a report of the accident but I've seen a lot of speculation but I would suggest that in a accident of this nature I believe it's very rare that the police would bother to prosecute I was in a park car when I got rammed due to a woman picking up her first automatic car that morning making a confused mistake with the paddles and ramming into me giving me a broken neck and tetraplegia what's the point of prosecuting the woman for obviously not having due care and attention nobody would have gained from it

They are now referred to as RTC, road traffic collisions; some may be due to incompetence, and I would dare to suggest to say the same for ship collisions.

Know what you mean John, the accidents caused by the sun low in the sky, must reflect in the accident figures, but if you pull out and get clouted , its still your fault. Its all gone quiet at the moment, surely it does not take this long for the police to decide who was at fault. It would be a brave copper to give the DOE a ticket, would think he would be jumped on by the Chief Constable, and even if backed, would suspect the Chief Constable would be receiving a phone call from someone in Westminster, just my thoughts, kt

Here in Oz we get more than our fair share of road trauma, sounds much nicer, and so many single car ones in country regions.
Many of those the police treat as suicides, how else does a car get stuck up a tree ten meters from the road side?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Just out of a passing interest and I'm absolutely certain that no prosecution would ever pursue but is it my impression that in the UK that you are prosecuted by the crown therefore if he was to be prosecuted has the Duke of Edinburgh for driving without due care and attention it looks like he could have a bit of a marital problem with the missus

Apparently, the Duke of Edinburgh is not above the law, and therefore can be prosecuted.

His wife, Queen Elizabeth II, is above the law and therefore cannot be prosecuted. Regardless of what The Queen does, it can’t be declared illegal.

However, in law, the Duke should be treated just the same as any other individual.

It is illegal not to wear a seatbelt, whether you are a driver of the vehicle or a passenger in either the front seat or back. If you do not wear a seatbelt, you are liable to pay a £500 fine.

Similarly, after his crash on Thursday, Prince Philip was breath-tested at the side of the road to see if he was driving under the influence. The police must not treat any individual with ill-will or favour, including royalty.

I wonder if I would be given "words of advice" after doing it twice?
