Re: Knights Templars
I started this post because of my interest in the Templars , how they gained their knowledge and skills. Having read from many sources and studies I have found the answer. They stole their knowledge and skills mainly from the Arabs and Jews. I thought the Templars were a superior band of brothers , I was completely wrong. They were the ancient form of todays ISIS terrorists , slaughtering men , women and children , destroying cultures and stealing all the wealth they found. This wealth gave them power over kings and rulers , lending money to them put them forever in their debt.
It is said history repeats itself , this is true . Move on now to the next project.

Question for JWS,As you are aware many stories about masonry do the rounds, any truth in this one. There was only ever one woman mason, she was a cleaner and was cleaning in the room where there was a meeting going on,they didn't know she was there so as she had heard their secrets they had to make her a member.

Re: Knights Templars
Aware the same as everyone else Jim. Hope they were not doing a first degree tracing board , I usually go to sleep during that one. If had been Mary Cappy she would have given herself away when she rolled up her trouser leg. She probably got in because Rob was the tiler and was busy reading his penthouse. The story as people on here have described does not match up with the probabilities and suppositions people make and does not in the slightest worry any proper Freemason. Jim as said you can have a Masonic meeting anywhere and open a lodge if you have the necessary members present. But. To have a proper chartered lodge of permanent standing on a ship I find unlikely. But there again could be wrong. Write in and find out. The grand lodge of England are very approachable. Justhave your money ready. To the lady who says the stowaways father couldhave had his own lodge , of course he could anyone can, but it would not be legally recognised as to conforming to any. Charter of any grand lodge. Freemasonry is in some cases is registered as a charity. It also pays taxes the same as any business. So today is run by business men who are not necessary Freemasons. So their books are always open and available to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, he probably knows more than anyone. Cheers JS

Re: Knights Templars
Never mind Louis out of the 30 members 29 gave you a black ball, me knowing you gave you a white as knew you would be good in the south. Unfortuanetley 1 white ball doesn’t do much good. I used to have two can’t find the other these days, must be that cheap whiskey. JS

Re: Knights Templars
This morning on getting into my car I noticed an envelope behind the front passengers windscreen wiper. I thought at first it was a traffic violation aswas an official looking envelope . On opening I quickly scanned it and found it was a religipus circular by one of these nutcases who come knocking on people’s doors . It concerned the evils of freemasonry written in hand and a long diatribe of church or so called church readings of the evils of. Freemasonry, There were also printed pamphlets of a like nature. Obviously someone had seen by 2b1 ASK1 in the back window of my car and thought I needed converted to the Christian faith. These religious bigots exist in every faith , even in the Christian one and are just as predominant. Puts most people off the lack of intelligence such people are supposed to have. Is it any wonder there is so much conflictis in the world today. The worm who placed that envelope on my car didn’t even have the courage to speak to me face to face. If he and his like are an example of what they are trying to put across they can stick it where the monkeys stick things. I could take the time and peruse this document and show it on here but might be contravening the laws of the site and bringing in religion which of course is tied up with politics. According to this pamphlet let me only say all Freemasons are perverts and devils, so say the anonymous Christians who are still living in the Middle Ages. Cheers JS.....

Re: Knights Templars
I see in our paper this morning one of your Anglican Bishops has said that he didn’t believe that JC rose from the dead, and according to the media here that has caused a controversy in the church and he is being chastised for not following the party line. What can they do to him, apart from taking his pointy hat off him. Think they call them a miter. JS

Re: Knights Templars
Two brothers lived in our street they stood in the back alley and took bets for a bookmaker Wm.Forbes. Once a year Mickey would get picked up by the police,he knew the time and day it was going to happen. When you went to put a bet on Mickey would be on his own and would tell you go and put it on with our Henry he's outside the second hand shop around the corner.Mickey would appear in court and be fined ten shillings,I forget what the charge would be,his occupation being put down as rag tatter. What we always understood was Wm.Forbes the bookmaker was a mason as was the chf/constable of Bootle Clegge.Wm Forbes had many runners who would get picked up and it was said Forbes was always tipped off by Clegge what runner and when.Mickey would have a couple of phoney bets and the money in his pocket whilst it was business as usual around the corner.
Regards.
