There is only one person who knows what Putin thinks and is capable of doing and that is Putin himself. Any one trying to out guess him is on a losing bet. He may or may not have lunatic health problems , may even have feelings of his own worth in life , even sexual problems, the answers are inestimatable . To hold the high office he has is a danger to all , and until he shows signs of normality . However this is not that important at the moment , he has to be curbed and brought up to a sharp short stop. Is there anyone in this world at the present moment in time will take this on ? I very much doubt it. There already is shown in the United Nations people looking for excuses not to do such. We see what a lot have always thought a tiger with no teeth. JS
Putin is I believe 69 and has lasted well up to now. So can’t blame it on a change of life , usually in the fourties.Dont know much about his family life but believe he was married at one time , whether still is or not don’t know. Any news coming from the media is only the actions he is performing in the name of Russia, and he must have a lot of accomplices to achieve that. JS

Putin, will not use nuclear weapons. He does not need to. Russia have control of several nuclear power stations in the Ukraine. I would think without using a nuclear missiles all he will need to do is wait until the wind is in a favourable direction. I am sure they could just have an accidental radioactive release and cover a lot of Europe and beyond with a radioactive cloud or threaten to do so. Is that or could that be classified as a Nuclear attack on the western world?

Whatever way you look at it , Putin has already achieved the minimum needed to bring his government back into the worlds observance . The Ukraine to all intents and purposes has been nullified and his arguments for the sceptics would appear to be genuine for those who want to believe him. It has made obvious to those who did not believe that Russia had no ally’s in the world are wrong and continue to be so , and to me personally for all the billions of dollars the UN takes out of all our pockets , how incapable they are when it comes to facing up to a strong adversary , I fail to see where the United bit fits in, How when the chairman country sitting can invade another country with impunity. It’s all talk , no real action, which has also stood out in other African nations where UN troops stood by and watched mass slaughters , because the paperwork wasn’t right as the excuse. They call themselves ambassadors or something and God knows what stipends they pick up for literally doing nothing that may get them a bad reputation. The Ukraine will shortly be just another short statistic to the historic list of those who have gone under the hammer since its formation after the last WW. They will soon be known as that firm whose reputation precedes them. JS.

Scotland Yard could have done better, they would have had arresting officers there within 24 hours for a madman on a British ship years ago. JS....

He will at some point come undone, all of his like do.
History is full of them, just look back to the events of WW2.

But the one who could bring him to a halt is the Chinese president.
He has his eyes on Taiwan and will want to take that with no interference from the west.

The west will do nothing to stop Putin for fear of what they may lose, oil, gas etc.
The west in a a no win situation, so they must just sit on the side lines until it is over.

As to NATO, not much use, bit like tits on a Billy goat and the UN is even worse.

Daily we hear platitudes from the leaders of these organisations asking for him to stop, are they for real??
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    John.
Somehow you omitted the British Empire builders, I'm sure the history books in places like India, Malaya, South Africa ect, will not doubt have some stories. As for the Middle East, the schools there will have a Bush or two planted.

#180 .India was opened up by merchant venturers. The same as France, Spain , Portugal , had influence in different parts of this continent. Any army imposing itself apart from the Private army of the British Indian Company was put there by politicians. South Africa was fought over by national armies, Malaya was a commercial war and blamed on terrorist activities. The Middle East turned into a commercial war ,oil being the main theme. This having many of the attributes of the imposed war in the Ukraine. Like Hitler who had to have the industrial might of the Ukraine before he invaded Russia. Who prior to had had a pact with Stalin not to invade. What they say about history repeating itself is often true , or close enough for one to say , here we go again . That’s how I see history past present and future. We live in a world of villains , all at different levels of humanity. There is no one pure as the driven snow. JS..
