Thank you for that explanation Rodney . A lot of people that I know in the USA actually like to bomber but solely because of the Obama Care Package which under their personal circumstances actually shooting them well . I don't know what our electoral rules but I think the fact that he's filed 4 times for chapter 11 bankruptcy would certainly have put me off him . Some of his behaviour and the no I didn't say that they've got it wrong despite there being a recording attitude makes me wonder if he has the cognitive ability that I would think the role requires . I was a great believer in the Iran deal which is scrapped as I actually believed that they were following the required procedures and I am a disbeliever in the North Korean deal because I think they are taking the mickey but never mind time will tell

Having been a captive audience for 6 weeks to British television you seem to. Suffer the same as the Australian audiences too much television advertising, too much soccer being the World Cup, too much Donald Trump and his objectors, and too much Teresa May who if TV footage is anything to go by will very soon be your ex PM. After nearly 2 years it seems to me that the British Government is still hanging on and dragging it’s heels to a lost cause by hoping there will be a change in people’s wishes. The future does not look too good for the left or right wing of the Tory party neither for the Brexiteer agreers of the right wing Labour Party. Very easy to get confused with the soccer world cup when describing political entity’s. Bet they even have more fouls than the recent games as well. And to crown it all when it comes to people’s opinion there are the reporters on the news having their own personal opinions just like some of them here in Oz. JWS

#281... Maybe he should go up there and guard it Keith. After all Russia did sell it to the USA for a pittance and may decide they want it back. Cheers JS

It would appear Rodders that there are as many opinions of Trump as there are states in USA.
Our media will report instances in may forms, all on the same article but in a different manner so you can from this glean two versions of what he said or did.

We had a report the other day from a Soy Bean farmer who said the current trade war with China was hurting his business.
When asked if he voted for Trump he said yes.
Asked if he would change his vote, no because in time things will settle back to normal.!!

After the Russian 'gaffe' a report allegedly showed that his support amongst Republicans was still at 72%.

Problem is we have only the media to show us what is occurring and as we know they will slant it to which ever way suits their own agenda.

Think it was about 1983 we went to Yugoslavia think it was the Istrian coast. Tito was dead at the time but was still very much revered by the people I talked to. It was a beautiful country that summer and was a good family holiday Well remembered. Tito was a communist and reading short briefings of his life was a very flamboyant man who never neglected his own personal comforts. He lived himself in comfort. But at the same time made every effort to make his country advance with the times. He encouraged private enterprise to a certain limit, think at the time 100 persons was the maximum a person could employ this was his intention I believe to stave off the big power surge of the huge companies like we see in the West. After his death the country degenerated into what it is today. There are many things like Brian I do not understand, however I do understand actions speak louder than words, as Tito will always go down in history by someone’s thoughts on him, more than likely by someone who has never visited the country, I prefer to think of him as the instigator of the country I visited at the time , and not the war ravaged later years. I to would like to know how that war started , by someone who really knows , and not some book writer taken his info. from government prejudiced sources. As far as politics goes my policy would be to let every country govern itself and choose its own leaders and make its own laws. The EU to me does not fulfill this role and is a travesty in the making and if had the opportunity would always vote against it. JWS

All very interesting Keith, what it doesn’t mention as far as I can see is the important bit. Who did the Ukraine belong to before Germany invaded the Ukraine prior to invadiing Russia in 1942. The info. Skirts what people should know and only mentions a minor Russian habitation of the country. The battle for the Ukraine held the German invasion forces from entering Russia long enough for them being caught in a Russian winter which ultimately lead to a German defeat. People are still alive today who can remember these facts. And not some 40 year old with a Bed degree in history who wasn’t even born at the time. Cheers JWS

Sarah Palin, the joke of a vice-presidential candidate to Senator John McCain's failed bid to become president was credited with saying "I can see Russia from house, she being the former Governor of Alaska. Actually she never did say, a comedian, Tina Fey, impersonating her said it and Palin is stuck with it now.

P.s. John McCain was the last Republican I voted for. He ran as the centrist he has always been, so I voted for him in the South Carolina Primary election which he won and became the Republican candidate for president. He then gambled and swung to the far right to gain the votes of the Tea-Party and he lost my vote and loads others and any chance of becoming president.

Of the 40% approval of registered voters, 32% are the far right of the Republican party voters, and are his solid base, which many of the outrageous claims and lies are said to appease this base. This is a heck of nut to crack for any Republican wishing to challenge him.

The Farmer you quoted is typical of his base. Ask him if he wants to end Obama Care, the Affordable Care Act, for medical coverage and the answer will be yes. How about removing the law that says insurance companies can not refuse coverage of discriminate against people that have pre-existing medical conditions? "End it!" He and others of the same ilk would say. Yet those on this site who have cancer, heart conditions, emphysema, chronic back pain have pre-existing conditions and their coverage for medical for their medical condition would end. Would they vote for a person that includes that in his political platform, yet his base wants him to do just that.

That farmer would be dead set against anything that smacks of socialism, such as the above, food stamps for the poor, assistance for those out of work, you get the picture I'm sure. Yet his hand is held out and his nose is stuck in the trough snorting away at farm subsidies, assistance for crop failure, cheap loans in the case of crop loss due to inclement weather. Farmers are about the worst for seeking aid. Sure it's a shitty hard life, but so is working in a sewer. but we need both, farmers and crap sorters.

Another big part of his base is coal miners: He made promises that if elected he would re-open the closed deep mine of West Virginia, Kentucky, ect. and close down renewable resources such as solar and wind farms, the miners whooped and hollered their support. If all the miners and associates human resources went back to work, their would be 20.000 new jobs....But, closing down all renewable sources would end employment for 70,000 employees. Where's the gain?

But he has to promise, cajole, plead, lie. cheat, do anything to hold on to that 32% base and so far he is succeeding.

Todays news, his lawyer, and good buddy who claimed "I would take a bullet to protect Donald Trump's life." taped a conversation of them talking on the phone about paying a magazine in order to buy the rights to the ex-Playboy Bunny's five month affair, and the FBI have it and others, not yet revealed. "Oh what tangled webs we weave when first we practice to deceive." Oh! The lawyer has now said, as he faces multiple criminal charges, "My wife and children come first in my life." Which means, stay tuned folks I'm working out a plea deal and I'll be singing like song-bird soon.
