#1, In the film Lawrence of Arabia when dressed as an Arab Lawrence is called a filthy little W*G by a sentry, I wonder if that would be cut now if the film was shown on TV.

Agree there Doc it is a great film with a great cast of actors I bought the DVD years ago so I can watch it again, as an aside I was also told Western Oriental Gentleman
when I first went to sea, I've never forgotten it. I enjoy the old films as well especially the British made oldies as I see them as a recording of how we once were, the cars,
buses clothes etc, remind me of my childhood apart from enjoying the story you are looking at recent history, that's how I see it maybe others don't. Cheers JFC

Re: TV Movie Channel
What sort of motor bike was he riding when killed ?? A bit before your time in the RAF Vernon. Think he made corporal as an aero engineer. Rumour and inuendo had it that he was homosexual and the film did nothing to dispel that myth if it was a myth . Another good opening for someone to say have spelt miss wrong. JWS.

Re: TV Movie Channel
Love they neighbor made a very small come back on TV here in Oz about two years ago much to the amazement of many.
There has been talk of a re make of the Dam Busters but the question of the name of the dog is a problem.
I suggested Birmingham, black, brown and a bit of white.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: TV Movie Channel
Occasionally when I get bored on a Saturday afternoon because there's nothing on television I want to watch I've turned into the odd black and white film and I'll tell you what I find them refreshing there are different era I don't expect my children grandchildren and great grandchildren wouldn't even begin to understand them but watching the Dam Busters the other day and the pride that was shown in Great Britain as a winner it does bring a lump to your throat even though squadron leader Gibson had a funny name for his dog
