Sorry, Don't know where that Egal came from. I haven't even had a drink.
No doubt I shall hear about it.
Once counted 60 EAGLES on one of our local beaches.
The herring were spawning.
Quite the sight.

Pull the other one Den, there were in fact only 30 eagles, you should leave that home brew alone

Re: Eagle
talking about eagles ...the best seamans bar in shields was the eagle vaults .....it was also the longest bar in shields always full of lads just paid off and some a bit tight for brass ready to go back ......a great atmosphere and never any trouble.....a relative of mine when retired got a gold badge from the RNLI for collecting over the years thousands of pounds and said the eagle was always the best bar to collect in shields sadly long gone now ....regards cappy

Re: Eagle
I like this fisherman and respect his actions.
So many will kill any wild life that they think may be a danger to their live stock.
Until man learns how to ,live side by side with wild life he will continue to kill.
Man takes the land from the wild life, then grows crops and wonders why some is eaten by them. Blind Freddy can see the problem, learn to live with them.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Very similar things happen in Shields. Walking down King Street with a Greggs pasty in hand and loads of seabirds (or to give them their correct ornithological name.
e...shitehawk) will arrive and immediately attempt to relive you of your tasty snack.
We had a sea eagle take up residence on the railings of my last ship and boy you certainly did not want to go anywhere near it, used to look at you as if it was eyeing you up for its lunch.

p.s. for Cppay, if you are looking in B & M in Shields and Jarrow are selling your SOL beer at £8.99 for 12 x 333cl bottles

Glad you liked it Des.
Once when I lived in Prince Rupert, the woman next door was sitting outside with her cat. Eagle swooped down and took the cat. Never to be seen again.
Lady just about had a heart attack.
