FRIDAY 13th
Today is Friday 13, unlucky for some.
for a long time Sailors used to refuse to sail the ships on a Friday as it was Unlucky,, Ship owners didn't like the cost of a ship laying over until the following day.
So one Liverpool Ship Owner decided to dispel the superstition.
He ordered a new ship to be built on a Friday.
It was designed on a Friday
The Keel was laid on a Friday
the Ship was Launched on a Friday
and Named SS FRIDAY.
They even found a Captain named Capt. Friday.
The ship started to load cargo on a Friday.
and completed loading the following Friday
and the new Crew joined to sail on a Friday.
She then sailed on that Friday bound for New York.
The good ship SS FRIDAY, Capt. Friday and his crew were never seen again.

Re: FRIDAY 13th
Friday 13, unlucky for some........................
The Postman has just delivered the letter from Glasgow. Premium Bonds, I have won £150.
13 is my Lucky Number.
When I was 13 I won the Mr Junior Tarzan completion with Number 13 at Butlins Holiday Camp
My life was saved by a South Africa lad on December 13 1953, my mate Ken was drowned.
I live at Number 13 and my house in Fleetwood is also Number 13
In Hospital in Hawaii 2013 my life was saved by a BIG operation on Feb 13
and today the 13th, I won £150
So that myth goes out of the window.
Brian
