Amazing stone age houses, burial sites etc. dating back to 3,500 year BC.
This is before Stonehenge and shows that the building of stone circles originated in the Orkneys. In episode 2 they build a boat out of thin twigs and cow hide and actually row across the Pentland Firth in around 6 hours, showing that those ancient people had an understanding of how the moon affects the tides.
Absolutely fascinating.
