    Default The Middle East

We all think that what is going on in the middle east especially re. Israel and its neighbours is something new, but has been there for centuries and is part of our own history as well, and which parts of the same middle east who want autonomy from the infidels use as a propaganda cudgel. Many of us read about the knights Templar and others re the old Jerusalem of A.D. 1118. Whence the knights of the Temple were formed and were a band of warrior monks who assisted travellers and pilgrims on their arduous journeys towards Palestine. At length with the aid of Baldwin, King of Jerusalem they became not only the most efficient safeguard to the Christian pilgrims, but a formidable bulwark against all foreign aggressors. Coming up to AD 1307 the organization which started as a band of warrior monks had flourished. To this effect Philip of France and pope Clement V entered into an unholy league binding themselves to destroy the guardians of Jerusalem and to this end in that year had them all arrested and as most were of French origin were arrested in France also. An act of accusation was presented against them and they were designated as wolves, perjurers. idolators, and in general, as the vilest of men. They protested their innocence but their doom was already forecast by the Pope and Philip who wanted their wealth. They were burned to death upon faggots. All over Europe the same happened, and contrary to popular belief most of these knights and their armies were not English. It is only in recent times that the Vatican has lifted the tongue of evil accusations that were made. This shows I believe that religion and certain other types of people existed then and still exist today, there has been many mishandling of justice throughout history and a lot on both sides of any conflict when it comes to religion, in present times people are more educated and can see through the dust storms put up to try and hide. Today many in the middle east are still fighting this war, for some it never ended. JWS

    Hi John.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. I wonder what the PC brigade of today in their ignorance would make of the fact that the Knights were burnt on faggots?
    Cheers Des

Could go much further into the subject Des. As have over the years studied this and other atrocietys of years gone by, and some that have even happened in our life time. I look upon the present Bretix as the voice of the people and those who now who are not willing to accept as the usual rabble looking out for themselves. If they are so keen on staying in Europe go and do so and apply for German, French, Italian citizenship or whatever. I emigrated to Australia and as soon as it was allowed obtained Australian citizenship. Whats wrong with these mongrels, they haven't got the courage of their own convictions. They want what they think is the best of both worlds. As for the soon to be defunct PM, I can remember it being reported that he said he would not interfere in the In or Out of Europe, like the Queen he should of had the decency to be neutral and let others argue the whys and wherefores, his injuries are self inflicted and no use as a PM and so called leader of the people. JWS PS The faggots weren't the ones we were used to. Cheers JWS

One of the problesm with the Middle Eastern countries is the fact that in many cases they have progressed little since the time of the Knights Templar.

They are in many instances still running on tribal lines that have never accepted modern life.

Until they are prepared to join the rest of the world in the 21st century we should, in my opinion, have nothing more to do with them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

#4 Easier said than done John. It is their choice to remain in the dark ages, at least some of them. It must however be a majority or otherwise one would think others would put them out of business. When they have big foreign conglamerates of oil companies exporting the massive wealth from their lands and see little returns to themselves, it is their own leaders who should get the hard stare not others, perhaps it is what they are doing, but once again others decline to see the possible causes of dissention. All the general public see of these lands and the people are posed pictures of well dressed people signing treatys and making a big deal of it. Every picture you see by the media is posed for believe me, apart from those they call scoops where some girl trips up and is shown with skirts in the air and possible no knickers. Most of what we see today is what the media want you to see, the so called rhetoric going on about the Bretix is media controlled and put so as to get the best readership out of. Forget half of what you see and read and wait for the official reports put out which are kept in proper records sections and available for future generations. Cheers JWS
