We live on the very busy A41 trunk road which runs from the Birkenhead side of the Mersey right down to London .
buses on the road as elsewhere pull into dedicated laybys, great, their not holding up traffic when people get on off ,recently some chinless wonder decided that the buses were being held up by not being able to re-join the traffic [, which is not true most drivers let them out] so on a long stretch of the road they have paved the laybys and the buses stop on the road "holding all the traffic up " cars swerving round , horns sounding, true the bus can now just pull away ,success ?, trouble is other routs cut into his, so a bit farther down the road ,what does he have in front of him ? why , its a bus dropping , picking up, farcical ,probably cost hundreds of thousands to fill in all the laybys for a worse system , the mind boggles .
