That's nice. My sister and her late husband sold their South Sea cruises and Turtle Airways seaplanes, that I understand were beavers, many years ago. When we were there in the 1960's we - the family - used to delight in staying at Lautoka with them on my business trips around Viti Levu from Suva and somehow managed to fit long weekends into the schedule. Unfortunately for us the beavers were not in service by the time we moved on to Singapore. My nephew's son is still there and is a diving instructor from a rather sumptuous yacht slaving it out in those idyllic lagoons.

#2, After Richard's clip there is one for Fiji called "Dirt Cheap" [pilot episode] well worth a look, think Captain Kong might have something to add!

It all seems like a lovely dream Cappy. Here are some pictures of those days and thanks Marian for drawing attention to "Dirt Cheap" that I dismissed first time around. A lot has changed but the friendly larrikins are still the same. My sister is in the last year of her eighties but has just gone back to Nadi for a month with my nephew who keeps the house where the Beaver pilots used to stay. He, as were our children, born in Fiji.
The photos show where we lived along with the bure (booree) that comfortably housed our housegirl, her husband and daughter. Also one I took of the 'Volasiga' ('Volasin(g)a'), our launch at Nukulau Island on the reef a few miles north east of our house. Ann and Griff took over the Volasiga when we left Fiji for Singapore and sadly, they, our dearest friends for more than half a century passed away in their beloved Alderney last year.
