Holidays
How come ,if parents can't get holidays in school hols they get fined if they take kids out of schools can be hundreds,
But when elections come round as now, they close the schools why cant they use library's , sports halls and the like ?
Just goes to prove all they want is to take money off us, double standards,???.

Re: Holidays
Ivan
Although I know that Education is important, i think that any Country should have a little bit od leeway for such things, as after all not all Parents that work can get leave on School Holidays only! Its silly really, what harm can a few Weeks do of not going to School, look at all the Students that Wag all the time!
In our days we I know wagged School a lot (well I did for sure) LOL but that certainly did not keep me from entering the World of Work, and a good job we did at that with not the top Educational Cretificates either!
Oh the Modern ways! LOL
Cheers

Re: Holidays
#5 quite agree Doc, seems administrators have forgotten the old adage that travel broadens the mind, my kids were taken out of school to suit my job and times in the UK, they didn't suffer having achieved Masters in Science and Doctorates in psychology, their poor old dad went sea at 13, travel broadened my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
